This weekend

Guess what we did this past weekend???   This girl acts like she has been camping her whole life.  She loves it just as much as Malia does.

Malani's foster parents sent us a package. In it were two matching dresses, lots and lots of candy and a tin of some dried tiny white flowers that you make tea with.   They are awesome people, we keep in regular contact with them through skype so that they and Malani can "see" each other.

Our weekend

We decided to open the pool this weekend, this is what the girls did........... They watched.

And when we took off the cover,  this is what we found.  This is what happens when you neglect your pool over the winter.  YUK!  But give it a week and all will be good.

We also went camping (yeah, all in the same weekend) and we had a great time!

Lipstick, Love notes and my little Fashonista's

An Avon lady stopped in my office last week and gave me a bunch of little lipstick samples (I don't wear it) and I thought it would be fun for the girls to use. It was, they loved it!

Today I let them pick out what they wanted to wear ( I think I will be doing this more often) and they LOVED the idea.  Malia's pick biker shorts are a size 3,  you can see how thin she is in these things.  For some reason they are both really into wearing boots.  Malia wants to wear these boots all the time.
And last but not least. Malia got this little note out of her book bag tonight and asked me to read it. It was a tiny little piece of red paper about 1"X 3" that said " I like Malia". Malia immediately fell on the floor giggling and snorting like crazy. You can tell she was both embarrassed and excited at the same time. I asked her who wrote it and in between giggles she told me it was Julian. I don't know who Julian is but its quite obvious that she really likes him and possible has a crush on him. Do Kindergarteners have crushes?????
I think her reaction was the cutest thing I've seen in a loooooong time. She didn't want me to keep the note, she insisted on having it back, but I was able to redirect her and she forgot about it after awhile. She will see this again when she is older. *Snicker Snicker*

I think the tooth fairy is out of money now.

Malani's one front tooth has been loose for about 3 weeks. Well on Friday she came up to me and showed me that it came out. I asked her where it was, needless to say I could not find it anywhere. I know that it had just come out because it was still bleeding. So I'm pretty sure she swallowed it. Move forward to Sunday morning, we're eating breakfast, I look over at her and my mouth dropped open. She is now missing both front teeth and the kicker is that this one was NOT loose!!  Gary says she has her "summer" teeth in, some are here and some are there.  lol.  Ok, I guess you had to be there.
She must have swallowed that one too.  The tooth fairly no longer needs her GPS to find our house, she knows the way by heart now.  Malani has lost 4 teeth since she has been home, which is a little over a month now.

In other news we went camping for the first time this year.  Unfortunately we wont be able to go much this year due to my work schedule. But we we'll make due.  Malani did amazingly well, I think she will love it just as much as Malia does.

                                                           She LOVES the sandbox.

She was facinated with picking the leaves off this tree.
